Jane HodellRomine 1938-2016


Jane Hodell Romine, died early Monday morning, May 23, 2016, at her sister's home in Houston. Service: 10 a.m. Saturday, Funeral Mass at Trinity Episcopal Church, Mother Carlye Hughes, celebrant. Jane Louise Hodell was born on Oct. 23, 1938, in Dallas, to Henry Louis and Ruth Richter Hodell. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from SMU where she was a member of Chi Omega. Jane and Joe were lifelong members of Trinity Episcopal Church where she was a Stephen Minister. She was also active in Bible Study Fellowship. Jane was a founding member of BRIT. Jane was a strong cancer survivor for nine years. Joe Tschudy Romine, her husband of 47 years, died just two months ago on March 14, 2016. Survivors: Sister, Betty Hodell Byrd and her children, Scott Byrd and his wife, Kimberly, and their sons, Josh and Ryan, Ruthie Byrd Chuvac and her husband, Gustavo, and their daughters, Brandi, Stephanie and Rey; sister-in-law, Nancy Romine Gillis and her daughters, Ellen Carpenter and her husband, Gary, and their children Ryan Harkrider and Holly Sadler, and Emily Craven and her husband, Mark, and their children, Mollie Craven and Will Craven.
