Edward L Angelo

Edward (Eddie) Angelo unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. He was born on January 14, 1937 in Houston, Texas. Eddie graduated from Lamar High School. Upon finishing school, he entered the Army and completed his military enlistment. Eddie’s family had a long history in the restaurant industry. With the help of his brothers, Charlie and Jamil, they opened Angelo’s Fisherman’s Wharf on South Main in the early 1970’s. Later, he opened Mr. A’s Uptown, another popular eating place in Houston.
Eddie was a loving father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Charles and Mary Angelo, Brother Charles Angelo, Jr. and Jamil Angelo, and Sisters Lillian Whatley, Mary Jo True, Helen Karam and Gladys Dickson, and Daughter, Christina Denise Angelo.
Eddie is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Angelo Brown, husband Kevin, and granddaughters, Natalia and Avery Brown, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Always an active lover of golf, Eddie remained active in this sport his entire life. Just a week before his passing, he played his last 18 holes.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Houston, Texas 77077.
